An exemplary record of financial stewardship.

Pratham USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We are proud of our exemplary record in using donor contributions responsibly and efficiently. Since our inception, we have focused on keeping our overhead low and maximizing the impact of every dollar received.

Charity Navigator, America’s premier charity evaluator, has awarded Pratham USA six consecutive four-star ratings (the highest possible) for our “sound fiscal management” and “commitment to accountability and transparency.” This rating indicates that Pratham USA adheres to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way. Only 4% of the charities evaluate by Charity Navigator have received this rating six years in a row, indicating that Pratham USA outperforms most other charities in America.

Pratham USA achieved revenues of $16.8 million in FY 2015. Thanks to the support of our donors, including the Skoll and Hewlett Foundations, we were able to maintain our level of investment in programs. Over 92% of the funds raised by Pratham USA went directly to support programs in India. Below is a breakdown of the allocation of US funds by program.

April 1, 2015 - March 31, 2016

Since the accounting period in India (April–March) differs from the one adopted in the US (January–December), there may be funds that are not utilized in the calendar year. Any remaining funds will be utilized on programs in the first quarter of 2016.
