Nag Vaidyanathan appointed as president of Pratham Chicago
Pratham USA is pleased to announce the appointment of Nag Vaidyanathan as president of our Chicago chapter. Nag will be taking the reins from Srinivas Reddy who led the chapter for the past two challenging pandemic years.
During his term, Srinivas bonded the chapter through regular communication, spearheading fundraising efforts with board and staff members, and pivoting to effective virtual events to keep the Chicago chapter engaged. The chapter saw growth in fundraising in these two years despite refraining from any large in-person galas. The Pratham USA team is very thankful to Srinivas for his tremendous leadership and contributions to Pratham’s mission.
Nag has been part of the Chicago chapter since 2011 and has been actively involved with organizing events such as the annual walkathon and galas along with his wife Goma Srinivasan. He is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Duck Creek Technologies where he is responsible for the execution of their current and emerging product roadmaps while ensuring the adoption of proven software development patterns, architecture standards, and frameworks. Prior to that role, he was responsible for all application delivery and operations, digital transformation, infrastructure, IT security, and data at OneMain Financial as part of their Executive team. His career spans multiple domains – manufacturing, aerospace, insurance, banking, lending, and technology in multiple countries. He has lived in the Nordic region, New York, and has resettled in Illinois with his wife Goma. Their son Arjun has been a Readathon Champion during his school days and has helped raise significant funds for the program. Nag is passionate about education and giving back to support education for those in need.
Alwar Narayanan continues as the Chicago chapter vice president for a second year. Alwar currently works as a Sr. Technical Product Manager at Allstate Insurance Company. He has been involved with the Pratham Chicago chapter for more than five years serving as a gala co-chair for two years, supporting many Pratham Chicago events as a dedicated volunteer, and taking on the VP role last year.
