PraDigi: A New Way to Engage Children in Learning

On August 29 in New Delhi, Pratham unveiled its latest innovation, PraDigi. In addition to providing tablets to rural communities, this digital initiative includes a learning app that offers children high-quality, interactive content to improve their basic literacy and numeracy skills, support their subject-specific competencies, and promote their ability to think critically and work collaboratively.

Pratham Phoenix Welcomes Spring with Traditional Holi Celebration

More than 450 members of the local Phoenix community gathered on Sunday, March 12, 2017, to celebrate the Indian festival of Holi.

Known as the “festival of colors” or the “festival of love,” Holi is a Hindu festival, observed in parts of India and Nepal, marking the end of winter and the beginning of spring. It also symbolizes rebirth, love and the triumph of good over evil.

Phoenix Launches Youth Initiative

The Phoenix chapter is proud to announce the formation of a youth group. Open to children ranging in age from 5 to 18, the group will increase awareness about child illiteracy and Pratham’s work while facilitating volunteerism in the local community.

More than 200 volunteers have joined together since January, to help collect donations and pack food boxes for the local Midwest Food Bank in Arizona and plan to have many more activities in the coming months.

Sold-Out Pratham Phoenix Gala Funds Libraries For India’s Children

On September 17, 2016, Pratham Phoenix held their annual fundraising gala at the Scottsdale Hilton ballroom, raising an impressive $200,000 for Pratham’s library program.

The sold-out evening was a wonderful balance of the serious and lighthearted, ensuring the 600 attendees had a good time while pledging their commitment to Pratham’s mission of “every child in school and learning well.”
