Pratham Seattle Forms Young Professionals Group
Pratham Seattle has launched a young professionals group to engage with and foster emerging professionals from the community.
An informal launch party was held on Thursday, June 23 at Cactus in South Lake Union to introduce Pratham to the close to two dozen young professionals, many from Microsoft and Amazon, who had expressed interest in the organization and a desire to make a meaningful difference through education.
Supriya Kulkarni, who previously worked in the field for Pratham, spoke passionately about the charity’s mission of Every Child in School and Learning Well, its programs in India and how supporters in the US facilitate the work.
The lively evening spawned creative ideas for future young professional gatherings, interest in volunteering with Pratham Seattle and a desire to learn more about Pratham’s evidence-based approach, including how Pratham administers its testing tools, the data collection process and the broader scope of work instigated by the organization’s Measurement, Monitoring, and Evaluation Unit.
More such events are planned for the coming months. Learn about how you can join the Pratham Seattle young professionals group.
