ASER Fulfills Its Name by Having an “Impact” on Quality Education
During the tenth anniversary celebration of ASER (Annual Status of Education Report), Dr. Aaron Benavot, director of UNESCO’s Education for All global monitoring report, spoke at a Pratham-sponsored panel in New Delhi: Looking Back, Looking Ahead: International Perspectives.
Reflecting on the experience, he praises the assessment tool: “The Pratham-ASER assessment has been at the forefront of a veritable explosion of national learning assessments around the world.”
Adding, “The Pratham leadership and its many thousands of volunteers have created a special force in the education policy field, both at home and abroad. They have shaped anew the ways committed reformers and communities think about the education of their children.”
