Manoj Singh Joins Pratham USA Board of Directors
Pratham USA is pleased to announce the appointment of former Deloitte executive Manoj Singh to its national board of directors, effective immediately.
Manoj spent 36 years in senior leadership positions with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Ltd., including head of Deloitte Consulting in the Americas, CEO of the Asia Pacific region and, since 2007, chief operating officer. Handpicked as one of four global managing directors reporting to the global CEO, Manoj led client growth in the emerging Asian and African markets and advised global organizations on how to navigate complex business challenges, with a focus on technology, manufacturing and the energy industry.
A longtime Pratham supporter, Manoj has become more actively involved with the organization since his retirement from Deloitte in 2015. He is particularly interested in the role technology can play in catalyzing children’s learning. “I am honored to have been invited to join this passionate group of US supporters,” said Manoj. “Pratham’s data-driven approach to improving learning for India’ s poor is admirable. It will be interesting to see how its application of mobile and tablet technology will affect the organization’s growth and also education in India.”
Manoj serves on the business council for the Wildlife Conservation Society and on the board of trustees of the Rubin Museum of Art and Carnegie Mellon University, from which he is a distinguished graduate. A frequent speaker on college campuses, Manoj has appeared on Bloomberg, the BBC and CNBC, and was recognized as one of the top 25 consultants in the US by Consulting Magazine.
“Manoj’s illustrious career speaks for itself,” said Pratham USA Chairman Dinyar Devitre. “His considerable expertise and experience will no doubt help to advance Pratham’s development and mission. We are thrilled to have him take on a larger role within our organization.”
